"Original Pirate Material" is a pirate video. It is about the raiders of the seven seas, the rascal of the Caribbean and about fear and dread in the fog of fright. There the daring freebooters emerge with their boat and a mysterious chest. The images remain ambiguous but conjure up a larger story. The scenery is underlined with a dark wafting sound which creates a subliminal tension and at the same time holds the impenetrable storyline together. What has happened is left open. An ironical twist occurs between the dramatic authentic material, the strange setting and the protagonist of the story. A homage to the wimp next door.
